Biography
Meet Dr. Doyle
Dr. Doyle has been leading as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and coach for over twenty-five years.
He is the Founder of Doyle Educational Coaching. Dr. Doyle has a passion for connecting with people.
Dr. Doyle was born in Bend, Oregon. He grew up in Walla Walla, WA where he attended DeSales High School.
He received his B.A. in History Education from Whitworth College and earned a Master’s in Social Work from Walla Walla University in 1993. In 2025 he earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership at City University of Seattle.
Steve’s passion for coaching and building capacity in others began in high school while serving as a volunteer youth basketball coach at the local YMCA. His heart for the underdog goes back to a traumatic brain injury he suffered after graduating high school. The doctors told his parents, Leo and Claudia Doyle, that he would never attend college. Thankfully, his parents (nor Steve) listened to the bleak outlook. He learned to read again while attending Walla Walla Community College and then quickly headed off to Whitworth University in pursuit of his passion: teaching and coaching.
